Brief

Havit Lighting, one of Australia's leading wholesale manufacturers of premium LED lighting products, selected J&C to build them a loyalty program. The goal was to create a simple, seamless experience that incentivises electricians across a diverse reseller network, offering tangible rewards for their loyalty.

The key challenge was the lack of a consistent data source for tracking purchases across resellers. With no standardised method for resellers to provide Havit with sales data, J&C needed to develop a solution that would enable electricians to easily earn rewards for valid purchases without additional friction or complexity.

The electricians should then be able to feel rewarded for their Havit purchases and have a variety of options available. This will then offer Havit a standout proposition in market.

Execution

J&C took a consultative approach to design a program that met the needs of Havit, their resellers, and selected customers (the electricians). To overcome the data challenge, J&C leveraged AI technology to scan invoices submitted by members, automatically awarding reward points for verified Havit product purchases.

Results

The Havit Rewards program launched in November 2024, with electricians earning points for purchases made from a network of over 1,700 resellers nationwide. Within the first month we hit a 62% engagement rate of invoices to registered members, showing members were actively engaging with the program, and earning points for their purchases.

The program’s success was further bolstered by a targeted marketing campaign, which drove 50% of invoices uploaded within the first few weeks. The entire platform; comprising of the app, website, and admin portal - was built and launched within 6–8 weeks (post discovery), incorporating bespoke features for both users and administrators.

The program offers electricians a curated selection of over 200 rewards, including products, gift cards and experiences; solidifying Havit’s position as a leader in the market by offering valuable incentives to their customer base.
